Use the governance Overview
The Overview is the best place to start when you want to understand the size and activity of your organisation’s AI portfolio.
Use the summary and attention areas to decide where to investigate. A count is a prompt to open the underlying records; it is not, by itself, a governance conclusion.
How to use the governance Overview
- Open Overview from the main navigation.
- Review the portfolio totals for AI uses, AI initiatives and Strategic priorities.
- Use What needs attention to identify missing owners, assessment work, approvals, changes or overdue items.
- Review Your actions and Latest governance activity for work that has moved recently.
What happens next
A summary card opens the relevant register or work queue. The count is a starting point for investigation, not a governance decision.
Open the records behind a summary
Summary numbers help you spot areas that need investigation, but the records behind a number explain what is actually happening.
Open a summary when you need to understand which AI uses, actions or roadmap items contribute to it. Where available, the destination keeps the filter you selected.
Before you start
- The summary must be visible for your organisation and role.
How to open the records behind a summary
- Select the summary or attention link you want to investigate.
- Check the destination heading and any active filters.
- Open a record to review its current facts and permitted actions.
- Clear the filter when you want to return to the full list.
What happens next
Where available, the page you open keeps the selected filter so you can review the records behind the summary.
Common situations
- A zero count means there are no matching records in that scope; it does not prove the whole portfolio is complete.
Read roadmap growth
Roadmap growth shows how many AI initiatives are planned across upcoming quarters. It helps you see whether the delivery pipeline is growing, slowing or concentrated in a particular period.
Use it as a starting point for planning conversations, then open the Roadmap to review the initiatives and dates behind the totals.
How to read roadmap growth
- On Overview, find Roadmap growth.
- Read each quarter as a count of AI initiatives planned for that period.
- Open Strategy & Roadmap when you need initiative names, owners or planned dates.
What happens next
The roadmap view shows the initiatives behind the quarterly totals.
Review recent governance activity
Latest governance activity highlights recent changes across AI uses, access and governance work.
Use it to orient yourself after time away or to investigate an unexpected change. Open the related record or Audit history when you need more detail about what changed.
How to review recent governance activity
- Find Latest governance activity on Overview.
- Read the event, person and date.
- Open the related record when a link is available.
- Use Administration → Audit history for a broader, filterable record.
What happens next
Open the related record or Audit history when you need more detail about what changed.
Work from My actions
My actions is your personal work queue. It brings together reviews, approvals, controls, information requests and other tasks assigned to you.
Complete the work from the linked record so you can see the business information behind the task. After you complete a task, it no longer appears as work requiring your attention. Tasks waiting on someone else may remain visible so you can track progress.
How to work from My actions
- Select My actions in the header.
- Use the Action type, State or status and Due date filters when the list is long.
- Read the assignee, status, due date and blocker on the action card.
- Select Review, Open or the linked title to enter the task.
What happens next
After you complete a task, it no longer appears as work requiring your attention. Work waiting on someone else may remain visible so you can track its progress.
Common situations
- If a task is visible but decision controls are unavailable, you may have organisation-wide visibility without being the named decision-maker.
Review organisation actions
Organisation actions help authorised coordinators see work across the organisation and identify overdue or unassigned items.
This broader visibility does not transfer the decision to you. Open the source record to understand the issue, then coordinate with or reassign the named person only when you have the authority to do so.
Before you start
- You need organisation-action visibility.
How to review organisation actions
- Open My actions and select All organisation actions.
- Filter by action type, status or due date.
- Use the metadata to identify bottlenecks or unassigned work.
- Open a task only when your role permits you to view its detail.
Important: If you can view a task but cannot make the decision, this is usually intentional.
What happens next
Organisation visibility does not make you the approver, specialist, risk owner or control owner.
Open your profile or end your session
Use the profile menu to check your signed-in identity, update your display name or sign out when you have finished. Always sign out on a shared device.
How to open your profile or end your session
- Select your name in the header to open Profile.
- Update your display name and select Save profile if needed. Your email is read-only.
- Use Sign out in the header when you have finished.
